If you wait 10, 20 years, your "friends" will still have nothing to give, whereas your enemies won't wait a second before giving their wicked feedback to drain your good energy. They're all in that together, the latter just have the "courage" the former don't. Therefore, if you've taken the decision to move on, you'll have to rely on God's help alone; the help of the world can do nothing for you, only for your ego.
"Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord."
